Novel Writing
Writing a novel is one of the most expensive forms of literature for one reason only: it takes time.
If you do not have the time or resources to complete a novel, then you might want to consider a Ghostwriter… but what is a Ghostwriter?
What is Ghostwriting?
Ghostwriting is a service which provides written text in exchange for monetary compensation. Ghostwriting does not include the Editorial or Publishing steps needed to finalize a novel’s publication, but instead offers a Final Draft which can then be submitted to an Editorial and Publishing Company.
When using a ghostwriter, you are not required to recognize them in the making of your book. However, if you would like to recognize your ghostwriter, you may do so by including them in your acknowledgments or even as a Co-Author on the Author’s page.
At the end of the day, this is your book. Ghostwriters only help you put your vision to paper! You can be as involved or as distant from the process as you’d like, it’s completely up to you!
How it works
Throughout our process of writing your book, I will be speaking with you to understand your vision as well as researching information, writing, and revising. I refer to this process as MWR: Meetings, Writing, and Review.
After our consultation, I will provide an estimate price and timeline for your project.
I use an App called Harvest to keep track of all of my time spent on each project. I bill my services monthly based on this recorded time, and will invoice you via email at the end of each month.
It is important to note that because of my additional responsibilities to other clients, my monthly hours spent on your project may vary.
The Process
-
Meetings
Our meetings will serve as a way for me to get to know you, and to understand what your outline, vision, and ambitions are with your book.
Any questions you and I have for each other is encouraged to be discussed during scheduled meetings, however, any minor exchanges that can be handled over text are welcomed! If at any point our exchanges require extensive collaboration, a meeting will then be scheduled.
In the Proposal, I will draft a rough estimate of how many meetings will be required to reach this goal. Meetings will typically last one hour in length, but if it goes over or under, that’s okay! The sessions will only be charged for the meeting’s total amount of time, which will be added to your monthly invoice.

Writing
Now for the fun part... putting the pen to paper! This writing portion serves essentially as a First Draft. The following hours are estimated ranges of how long it will take me to produce a First Draft, and serve as guidelines.
under 200 pages — 60-80 hours
over 250 pages — 90-110 hours

Review
This is where the real magic happens! The reviewing period is essential to ensuring that all of our i’s are dotted, and all our t’s are crossed. This process serves as a Final Draft.
The reviewing period can take anywhere from 10 to 50 hours depending on the First Draft, and the length of your book.
And that’s it! At the end of this process, you will have a Final Draft of your new book. Once you engage with an Editorial and Publishing company, they may request additional edits to the Final Draft. If you would like to use my services for any edits they may have, a new Proposal will be drafted.
